BMW announces the debut of the first M340i in history. The propulsion is provided by a 382 hp engine.
Less than a month and a half from the launch of the official launch event, BMW announces the first version of the new 3 Series. Traded under the name of the M340i, the model in question offers a three-liter turbo engine and 382 hp.
It has in the engine compartment a six-cylinder turbocharger and a capacity of three liters, designed to develop a maximum output of 382 hp. The torque is 500 Nm, so the acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h will be done in just 4.4 seconds.
The model meant to compete against names like the Audi S4 and the Mercedes C43 AMG. It offers an eight-way automatic box, while the xDrive is optional.
The first M340i in the history of BMW relies on a familiar formula, with stylized front and rear spoilers, prominent side skirts and oversized alloy wheels. A three-spoke steering wheel and a pair of sports seats are among the main attractions in the interior.
Price details remain a mystery at the moment, but it’s good to know that the first cars will be on the streets next year (2019).
